The Nook Cafe, owned by business partners Jane Pruitt and Lindsay Thompson, opened its doors for the first time in October 2017 at University of Maryland's Bio Park. Their concept was simple: a fresh, locally sourced, fast paced menu perfect for guests on the go. Their passion for food, customer service, and understanding the demand for quick service quickly took off.
In June of 2018, The Nook expanded to its second and third location, a cafe and satellite cafe located at Kennedy Krieger Institute.

Our Approach to food
We Use Local Family Operated Food Vendors (Like Saval Foods and Stone Mill Bakery!) and strive for the highest quality, fresh ingredients. All of our chicken products are Antibiotic-Free and Hormone-Free, and our seafood is Atlantic Wild Caught. Our produce is delivered daily, hand cut and washed by us!
At The Nook you will find creative salads, classic hot and cold sandwiches and fulfilling lunch items ready to grab & go in our cold case. We have a list of over 55 homemade soups and daily specials, all made from scratch! For those with a sweet tooth, we have fresh baked cookies and brownies, all sourced from local Baltimore bakeries. There truly is something for everyone at The Nook. We can't wait to serve you with a smile!
